Corporate Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our financial operations and drive strategic financial decision-making. This role will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance while optimizing cost controls specific to manufacturing and energy-efficient technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial manufacturing, cost accounting, and financial leadership, with experience in ERP systems and multi-site financial management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
  • Lead annual audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Maintain financial transparency and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.

Accounting & Internal Controls:

  • Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Implement best practices in financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare bi-annual balance sheet reviews. 
  • Drive ERP implementation, configuration and maintenance

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership in operations, sales, and engineering.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Certifications: CPA or CMA highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in public accounting
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or energy technology industries required.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience managing multi-site financial operations preferred.
